Your Privacy

Honey Creeper is a reading site. This page explains which pieces of information pass through it while you read, what happens to them and what you can ask of us. In short, very little is collected, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

Who is responsible

The site is run by the small team behind Honey Creeper. For anything to do with privacy, write to contact@honeycreeper.net. We do not publish a postal address or telephone number, and email is the way to reach us.

A static site

Every page here is a finished file delivered to your browser as it is. There are no accounts, no comment boxes, no newsletter sign-ups and no shop. Nobody can play a game or place a bet on this site. Because there is nowhere to enter personal details, we hold no reader database.

What we do not use

  • Nothing that measures or counts how readers use the pages.
  • No advertising networks or ad scripts.
  • No tracking pixels, fingerprinting or behavioural profiles.
  • No social media widgets that report your visit to another company.

The cookie banner

When you answer the banner at the bottom of the screen, your browser saves that single answer in its local storage, so the question is not asked again on every page. The entry stays on your device, is not sent to us and contains nothing that identifies you. More detail is on What We Store in Your Browser.

Hosting logs

Like any website, Honey Creeper is served by a hosting provider. To deliver pages and to protect the service against abuse, the provider's servers briefly record technical data for each request: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and the browser and device type reported by your browser. These logs are kept for a short period by the provider and then deleted. We do not use them to identify readers and do not combine them with other data. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site online and protected as the legal basis for this.

When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever your message contains. They serve a single purpose: reading your note and writing back. Correspondence is deleted once the conversation is finished, unless we need to keep a short record of a correction we made. We never add anyone to a mailing list.

Links to other sites

A few of our pages point readers to websites elsewhere. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that site applies, and we have no control over what it collects.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, for correction or deletion, for restriction of processing, and for a copy in a portable format. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interest. To use any of these rights, email us and we will reply within the time the law allows. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Readers under 18

This site covers gambling and is intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

Any change in how Honey Creeper handles data will appear on this page before it takes effect. Our usage terms cover the rest of the rules for using the site.
