How to Play:
Players contribute to the pot before each hand. The minimum and maximum raise limits are agreed upon to put in the pot. Shuffle the dominoes facedown, then the dealer hands out 5 dominoes each to each player. Players can then do one of the following:
Check- Only allowed during the first round of the game. It means that a player can stay in the game without contributing to the pot.
Fold- This action means that a player has dropped out of the game and can take no other actions. If a player folds, they should not show their hand.
Bet- This is only permitted during the first round, it means that a player puts up a wager to contribute to the pit
Call- When a player puts in the same amount in the pot as the rest of other players, and they all reveal their hand
Raise- This action is when a player contributes more than the other players. Any players that want to stay in the game must match that amount.
When a call is made, all players reveals their hands of dominoes. The player with the highest-ranking hand wins the game. Here are the different hand rankings, ranging from high to low.
- Royal hand or Invincible
If you have five doubles like for example 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5,or 6-6. The highest ranking hand.
- Straight Sixes
A hand of dominoes with consecutive suits of 6 dominoes on one end. Like 2-6, 3-6, 4-6, 5-6, or 1-6, 2-6, 3-6, 4-6, 5-6
- Four of a Kind
Four doubles and any other dominoes
- Straight Fives
A hand with consecutive suits of five on one end. Like having 2-5, 3-5, 4-5, 5-5, 5-6 or 1-5, 2-5, 3-5, 4-5, 5-5
- Full house
Three doubles and two dominoes having the same suit. Like having 2-2, 4-4, 5-5, 2-4, 5-4
- Straight Fours
A hand with consecutive suits of four on one side. Like 2-4, 3-4, 4-4, 4-5, 4-6 or 1-4, 2-4, 3-4, 4-4, 4-5
- Three of a Kind or Triple
Three doubles and any other two dominoes. Keep in mind that only player can have this hand because there are only 5 doubles being played with in this game.
- Flush
Five dominoes that have the same suit value on the other end.
- Single Pair
Two doubles and any other three dominoes. Scored are determined by double 6 being the highest and double 2 being the lowest. The hand with the higher double beats the hand with the lower double.
- Heaviest Dominoes
If no other hand wins then players holding the highest double will be the winner, with the ranking of double six being the highest and double 2 being the lowest. If that still doesn’t grant a winner, then the player with the highest count wins the hand.
